Title: how to measure heights

what is the gizmo called for measuring heights of buildings from the floor, any one know ?.

Luke said about another one last year but cant for the life of me find it.

It's some kind of laser gizmo. Nationwide Access always use them to work out the height needed when selecting a mobile elevated work platform. Not sure where you can buy them. Sorry not much help.

dont think thats the right one for height, but thanks for looking for me, I could well be wrong but I have something very like this already.

It's easy with a brick building, measure the distance between 10 courses of bricks, then count them to the required height, not exact but near enough.

As a rule of thumb, 10 feet per storey should give an inaccurate figure to work with.
