Ive gone over to a van mount his week and previously used my Freedom trolley.
I used to bungee strap my reel to the trolley to prevent it from falling over. How do you guys transport your reels with a van mount system without them falling over?
Pics would help Im sure.

I have a bungee around the reel handle and to the inner side panel preventing it from moving about.

hi Matt I use a bungee too ;D the only thing i would like to get is to put a stopper in the hosereel, always get a little puddle !

reel is mounted at the side door and bolted down, the sliding door still closes and locks on the secondary latch with out cutting off water supply if in dodgy area, i have a spare hose reel in the back for a 2nd operator

4 15mm plastic pipe clips screwed to the van floor. the tubular frame of the hose reel just pushes into them and can be pulled out again if necessary.

That`s what i use but the lockable ones with a little flip clip

Mine wedges at the side of the tank just enough to stop it from moving about whilst driving. I don't use a "fixed" hose reel, mine is connected to approx 8ft of hose from the DI, this allows me to position the reel anywhere around the outside of the van & point it in any direction so parking isn't a concern, nor is reeling in/out.

Tony. mine sounds like yours, I didnt want to screw it to the van floor as to be that restricts options.
I just couldnt find anywhere in the van that also wasnt suitable to have th ereel wedged in anywhere unless there was a chance of it doing any damage, to the controller/pump etc.
What Ive done is screw 2no 22mm pipe-clips to the wheel arch, and the 2 legs each sit in one, I didnt want anything screwed to the floor, but theyre out of the way on the arch.

I have 2 hooks from the van roof by the side door, I just place the hose reel handle on the hooks and let it hang there.
So when I pull up I only need to open the side door and pull the hose to the property, on some jobs I unhook the reel and place it on the ground, but this is rare.

I used the wall clips that came with a hozereel screwed to the van floor. Pull the red tabs up and remove the reel if need be - i never take it out.

Cant believe I am the only one to think of this!!
I have mine fixed to a piece of hardboard (reel frame drilled and screwed through) a bit bigger than the footprint of the reel, still moveable should you want to, but will not fall over.
