Title: Balm Stain
Post by: Steve Barnett (Carpet Care Plus) on January 24, 2009, 01:04:19 pm
Hi Guys

Anybody come across a balm stain before ?

Went to quote last night for various rooms in a large house. In the main bedroom there are approx a dozen fist size stains around the bed.

Apparantly the husband has applied heel balm to his foot then walked it into the carpet.

The product is Flexatol Heel Balm and it contains lanolin, the carpet is 100% wool berber.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Steve

Hi Steve

Should be fairly easy to remove, I would get the water hot, apply a little solvent, white spirit should do the trick and then extract hot.

Cheers

POG from chemspec will remove it.

Recently had a call from a customer whos kid smeared vaseline all over the carpet. When I say smeared it I mean he use the whole pot!!

POG took it right out but my waste water was a lovely shade of cream.
