Hi guys, I have a new domestic customer. Plenty of bits of cement, dirt and marks on both glass & pvc frames, most of which will have to be cleaned wfp. My question is will non caustic TFR bring them up ok. I intend to dip my brush into a 1-10 solution and brush onframes & glass. Could the cement scratch the glass as we remove it? Will the TFR remove it anyway? I know to rinse well afterwards to remove all trace of the TFR but is it the right method?

You really cant do a builders clean with wfp because of the cement/silicon/stickers will not come off and as you have pointed out it will probably scratch the glass you will either have to get the ladders out or if you can do them from the insides wetting the window first and using a scrapper in one direction only and wiping the blade to avoid scratching the glass

Thanks for advice. I was worried re scratching

Rubbing cement with a wfp brush could scratch yes,... bits of cement get caught in the bristles and rub on the glass. TFR will not remove any builders debris,.. doing it by hand with a scraper is the best option.

Only problem is main kitchen window which has steep steps below it which makes placing ladders safely not possible. I guess I'll have to see if I can do that from inside

you could get a 5" scraper and put it on the end of a trad pole and scrape the cement off like that, from the ground, if you cant get a ladder, safely, to a specific window. dont forget to wet the window first.

You might want to use a limescale remover on the cement, to help shift it a bit - i heard some use viakal is it?
But yeah scraping, one direction only with a new blade!!
