Title: plan of action
Post by: peter holley on January 19, 2009, 08:32:43 pm
what are your latest buisness plans , in light of the financial climate?

i am very fortunate so far, iv only lost half a dozen, but gained about 70 in tyhe last year :)...up untill recently its mainly been through the media that i haver heard about people losing jobs etc... but now its happening in my local area, people being cut to 4 days, being expected to work overtime for free etc....i hear a different story virtually every day... >:(

i have said before , our ideal customer should be the retired , mortgage free, children left home types, that wont be that affected.... teachers nhs types....

i have noticed day time canvassing catches these type of customer....YES the majority are out in the day, but if you knock on nice size houses , that look wel looked after during working hours in the day , you will find these recession proof customers (most of the time)l!!

my goal therefore to prepare is canvass , canvass , canvass.....now before things get really bad....  >:(

Picked up 4 new customers in the last week, so there is still business out there.

Easier said than done>>>> but the whole point is to earn more for doing less.
My view of this is:
Make round more compact.
Try to take on better priced jobs.
Use a second person to make profit.
Also i like large jobs , no moving about wasting time . Time = ££££
