A quick question
if your heater is outside, does the wind blow out the pilot light ? ??
-
YES YES and YES regardless of what those who use it say it blows out every 1-2mins,it used to drive me mad.
-
Mine blows out, there enjoying hot round the back and then warm grrr lol
-
Yes,.. it blows out if its used outside. If you use it inside the van but haven't fitted vents so you need to leave the doors open, it can still blow out on windy days.
B&Q sell sheets of perforated steel which would make a perfect wind guard.
-
I got a couple of those steel sheets from Grahams but didn`t bother fitting them as i got a different heater,to avoid it blowing out it would need boxing in like Dave Turley did.
-
you thinking window cleaning or camping matt?
-
Troll

Health & safety regulates all gas work, you’re not even allowed to fit a flue let alone touch the appliance.
If anything did seriously go wrong, you won’t just get a slap on the wrist and losing your business will be the least of your worries. ::)
Still saved yourself a couple of grand, so probably worth the risk!
Another spot on reply, you must be my long lost brother lol. ;D

couldn't make the electric reel work either !
I've had a turn on avonhud forum and you don't get these negative posts.

Behave. do you think i would really keep going on about it if didn't work.
I work faster and better than you do, learn to live with it. ;D

funny enough a bit of both
ive been told i can have job down on the coast at the price i gave them last year IF i use hot water, as the guy who was a little cheaper than me, uses thermopure and sold the idea that hot water cleans the salt off the windows better, a nice flash brochure with a long list of hot water advantages ( i was showed the brochure, some of it was just rubbish, but they liked the sales pitch, i didnt know that hot water was better for the environment ::) seriously thats what it said )
also, we are thinking of doing glasto in the van, i am toying with having the heater on a stand in the awning, would be nice to have a nice shower ;)

now it wos a bit prersunal saying donky . but you can not slag of a bit of kit be cores you put it in wrong place
-
so the L 5 has nothing to blow out then ? ? ? ?
-
The L5 auto ignites when it senses water flowing,.. but should the flame blow out, the "flameout" sensor stops the gas flowing in less than a second. Stop the flow and start it again ant it'll re-ignite.
