Just wondering wether or not to pop an add in the local rag for a month or two (published weekly)
what do you think, ? im aware of the waste of time cliental , who may ring...
has anyone one gained by doing this?
it may also put my name out there too, branding etc .
Just thought i would try and get a few opinions first if i could.
Cheers.
Gary.

go for it mate you can still get your waste of time clientel by posting 10000 flyers , in 1 publication you will hit more potentional customers than flyers would .

i put an add in the local services section, went for the smallest add size, worket out at £20ish a week, got an average of 2 custs a week off it over 2 months, let it slip in november because of fall, but still get calls now, that i will follow up when i get back to work next week.
so worth doing it for a few weeks. they recon it takes 3 or 4 weeks before people notice the add.

One way of doing it is booking a large advert and asking if they will run a story about your business by the side of the advert. It can double the size of your advert at no extra cost.
Look to spend about £150.00 and they are likely to go for it.
Then follow this first large advert with a small weekly advert in the classifieds, if you have a website, make sure the url is in the advert.
