Title: blackberry help!
Post by: Ryan Smyth on January 15, 2009, 04:03:07 pm
Got a blackberry a month or 2 ago cant get the email, internet, maps to work.Admittedly im a technophobe so not very good at these things. Also it only rings 3 times before going onto the answering machine....its about to go to the big phonemaker in the sky >:(
Obviously i should speak to the provider which is BT but before i have to put myself through the ordeal of their call centres i thought maybe one of you gentlemen could help.Cheers

Hi Ryan

You have to plaay with it a bit.

On mine email is Set Up, email settings, add an email address, follow instructions.
It's well worth it , fits in brilliantly with  website as you can respond quicker than competitors.

Can't remeber how to change rings, will have  alook later.

Cheers

Doug

Hi Guys

I thought you young guns were meant to be technowizards ;D

If an old codger of 50 can sort it out, then so can you.

Had my blackberry 6 months now and wouldn't be without it - lost count of the number of times I have won a job by being able to respond to an e-mail immediately.

Having said that, I too would have gladly given it back in the first 2 weeks I had it, didn't think I would ever get the hang of it as it's features are so different from any other phone I've owned.

Take it into the shop and get them to set up your e-mail account and then you'll be up and running, you will wonder how you ever managed without one.
