Title: Yell.Com
Post by: The Seven Bays Window Cleaning Company on January 15, 2009, 11:42:03 am
Just had some info through the post about advertising with Yell.com.

Has anyone taken the enhanced advert with them?

If so, did you get any business from it.

There quoting £142 for the year, which doesn't sound a bad deal.

But I'm interested to know what custom folks are getting from Yell.com.

Thanks :)

I've got the free listing, and have had the one residential customer from it - so I'm not sure whether an enhaced listing is going to improve things or not.

Is Yell.com the way folks for services these days?

Personally I do use it if I want to find a business locally - so that probably answers my own question.

I wouldnt pay for it personally. Ive got the free ad and i have had work from it, so why pay for it.

Do you know what actually, when i search for something on yell i skip past the flash boxy ones and look at bog standard ones

Its like google searchs, when those ones come up the top in boxes or down right hand side, i never click on them. The first standard one gets clicked on.

Dont know if anyone else is like me but that how i am...

Yeah, some people can look too big for what your require.

A small time window cleaner in your local area, rather than a large firm of residential window cleaners, is what you want - i see that logic..

Big flashy boxes springs "expensive window cleaner" to mind in my opinion

True some bigger firms will look at them but they too might be looking at cutting costs.
