Post by: Feen on January 13, 2009, 05:51:41 pm
A customer paid me today for the clean due plus the next 11 months, so paying me to the end of the year. One way of stoppping me putting the price up ;D

it's great when that happens and you go out and treat yourself but then you have to do it for nothing for the rest of the year !! ;D

Know what you mean, but I do a couple of others there too, so it don't hurt too much :) It is nice to get some positive cash flow though.

to earn there is always going to be debt, and if it is a debt owed to you thats all good as long as you keep on top of it and charge the relevent fees if they pay late, its all win win in most cases

I can't understand you guys charging 'late fees', I know we can legally charge a late fee (not sure what the criteria is) but I can honestly say if I wasn't a window cleaner and I was told to pay a late fee by my wc then it would be the last time they would clean my windows.

i agree with this, late fees for w/c are unheard off round here i think if you tried it you would spend the night in a&e
I like hospital food  ;)

and I pay interest on the credit card to pay wages if money does not come in, why should I pay this for a service that others ask for and dont pay for ?? I just pass that fee on, all customers are told this. It is not a problem to most people only the ones that pay late.... SIMPLE ANSWER IS PAY ON TIME. I have to with my bills or i get charged

if i dont get paid after 2 times they are dropped, dont keep chasing them if they are always late payers i use this as an excuse
I know what you are saying I used to do the same long time ago, I dont put up with it any more and it also winds me up big time, i am placid most of the time till someone trys to rip me off and that is how I take it still to this day.

i get a judge who lets the bill run up a little, then pays me for the outstanding and the next 6 - 9 cleans, nice little pay day that ;)
