Title: Extraction Cleaning
Post by: bliteamite on March 15, 2005, 02:36:57 pm
I have just finished looking at the Chem Dry website. Now I don,t know if their system is the best or not. But common sense tells me the extraction cleaning has to be the most efficient way to clean a carpet.
Anyone like to comment?

No, in my opinion, the system isn't the best. Marketing bs.
They use hot water extraction anyway. (Well to be exact some bonnet buff, some use hwe and a wand, some hwe with an RX20 type head and some use TM (not sure if UK use it yet))

I don't really understand the fascination with CD on forums, they are just carpet cleaning businessmen and women, the same as the rest of us.  ::)

Dennis, I think CD are great, absolutely fantastic. I recommend any of my potential customers who moan about my price, to get a quote from CD. Works every time. I recently quoted £ 90 for a Small lounge and seperate diner. CD quoted £ 180. Guess who did the work. The bigger the job the greater the difference.

Dave,

same experience here. The carpet in one small study of a family's house needed cleaning due to the son having had a great night out and not being able to hold the contents of his stomach.

I was second on the list on Yell.com when the son looked to see who to call. My price looked ridiculously low compared to the certain franchise who headed that list. Just wish he'd told me how much they quoted before I'd done the job, and I'd probably have been able to squeeze out another twenty quid.  ;)

Am with Dave on this and yes they use TM in the states I’ve seen one! Regrinding HWE here? Don’t know but have seen them wheeling porty for flood work a TM would have been better!

If one is so uptight on system they use book an appointment with then and if they use what is not advertised take pictures and go to trading standards with it!

Being a franchisee is another thing! I have no love for franchisors they keep change goal post as needed, not sure about the rx20 but this machine looks nice
