Post by: mark_roberts on January 12, 2009, 08:41:24 pm
I could do with some new Texatherm pads.  Last I checked they where around £10 each.

Has anyone sourced the same pads cheaper??

Did you know that the Tex Pads are slighly different?

Have synthetic mix as well as cotton. Supposed to improve clean in conjunction with right chemicals.

Just found the initial invoice for the full package back in 2004.
The pads were £15 each then, although I've just discovered that I was charged for 30 when I only received 20 >:(

Had one and then let it go which was a bit stupid I get board so I sell things on and then spend the money on a new toy but that was one thing I wish I hadn't let go.

Also fancy a sebo duo as I want a light weight contra rotating machine.

I have a Holloway in it's woodenbox, with two brushes. Not a gram of plastic in sight. I think it's about 20 years old and still works.

Be wary when purchasing a used Minitex that the motor has not been heavily strained!

There is a tendency for people to apply too much pressure and strain the motor/cogs/drivegear. So I would buy one having looked at it and plugged it in.

Hope it helps!
