Algae wont show up on a TDS I wouldnt have thought, but the fact that algae is in the water might be a sign of contamination. It hasnt exactly been prime algae growing weather lately.

To prevent algae make sure your tank doesnt allow light through to the water; paint it, put a sheet over it, build a wooden frame round it.

Thanks Matt. Do you think it could explain some windows not coming up as well as they used to

TDS never more than 003 out of brush head, never more than 001 direct from my 25ltr containers. I dont know Why it picks up one or 2 parts per million in the trolley system itself.
