Title: Auto brush. Anyone use one?
Post by: Klean07 on January 11, 2009, 01:23:09 pm
Just wondered how many if any used Peter Fogwills autobrush. I've just bought a mark 2 version though not connected it up yet. Old one did the job but after a few months the switch kept getting jammed.

I had one. The concept is great, but I found the salmon brush very heavy and I just don't get on with fan jets.

I eventually put the switch gizmo on a lighter brush with pencil jets, which made a big difference,.. but it still adds 150 grams to the brush head. Fine for domestic work, but i found it hard going on higher stuff.

Now I just use a high visibility silicone pole hose from sureclean systems which is light & tough, and can be squeezed between my fingers to stop water flow,.. much easier & lighter IMO.

£9 +VAT for 30 mtrs I think.

It wasn't on the website last time I checked, but if you phone they keep it in stock.

It is heavier and tougher than algarde though,.. more like the pole hose that comes with the SL2, just bright yellow. Especially with hot water, its very easy to stop the flow when you need to.
