Brodex have a good rep,.. but their system prices are high. Their tanks are really good though with the built in recess for the DI vessels.

Personally I wouldn't touch Ionics, and I think Pure 2o are part of Ionics (Correct me if I'm wrong).

Omni pole have some great gear, even if Glyn is incredibly infuriating,.. but there are plenty of other ppl to deal with there,..

Hi Nat
Why wouldn’t you touch Ionic?
Is it their service or their system, because the area where I am most of the big companies have Ionic system in theirs.

The price, the after sales, the Nazi attitude towards "Reach & Wash",.... all puts me off.

I get the marketing bit,.. but ppl who use the phrase simply without knowing better are threatened with legal action. A simple request would be nice before the threats started.

Varitech is not in the list and they supply a lot of the suppliers as well as the trade.

I still think you are missing an opportunity. I know exactly what to do, and i would scare the absolute life out of ionics and make a lot of money in the process.

But if you're too chicken...

When I was looking around for a system I phoned this company, I gave them the details of what i was getting from purefreedom and they where £1000 dearer, It was between these and purefreedom, They are a good company tho, very helpful, polite etc and I would use them in the future.

There's your answer Ewan. I repeat i know exactly how to do this. I asked and got told no, which i respect, but there is a lot of strategy that i haven't even mentioned.

I take a pick 'n mix view of it myself.  I prefer the Omnipole systems as they are simpler to self maintain and I've found the aftersales good when I've been unable to do so.  Also helpful down the phone if you need some quick fix without going there.  For poles I've gone the Gardiner route in the main as I need lightweight due to some previous elbow and shoulder stresses.  For image/marketing, I think Ionics are very good.  Concept 2 O seem to have this about them too but not as widely spread apart from this forum.  Don't know Pure 2 O.  Weren't they some offshoot of Ionics ?  Not sure about that.  Brodex seem to be a real mixed bag from what I've read on here.  Decent looking systems but mixed messages on aftersales.  Also an annoying habit of telesales/texting while I'm trying to wash windows or drive.  Credit where due though.  They did stop phoning after asking to be taken off their telesales list.  So then they texted instead.  Even worse when you have to walk 80 yards back to the van to get reading glasses so had to stop them texting too.
I suppose it depends what you want from a supplier really.  I don't think any of them are the best at every aspect so I do with each what I think they are best at.

They seemed OKish.  I went there when I needed an item in a hurry that I couldn't get elsewhere.  Very helpful as you say.  I asked about the systems they installed.  Apparently they use an electronic flow controller (varistream??), sureflow pumps, and recommend that their customers use half inch hose.  This is probably because sureflow won't warranty their pumps on smaller bore hoses.  I may be wrong but that bit alone hinted that they were more into supplying from a supplier's perspective rather than being involved in the nuts and bolts of the actual W/Cing.  Generally, I feel that companies that also W/C often provide better solutions.  Not knocking them as I don't doubt they do a decent system but now that I've been doing it a while, I prefer suppliers who can adapt little bits and pieces to individual customer requirements.  Naturally, I expect to pay for that as it would take a company a bit longer to fit a system that is non-standard for them.

I'm a bit slow on the marketing, so you'll have to spell it out for me Clive!!

I do hope the end result is me retiring a millionaire?

Credible branding, and i stress the word credible, but alongside this a marketing package of leaflets etc and i'll give you three guess's who the business model is for this.

Well thank you very much for all your replies, very positive information, to tell you the truth, I have had Ionic Thermo pure for the past five years and touch wood I haven’t had any problem with it so far, except that every month I have to buy the blue filter (the polishing one) which is round about £60.00 and I found out that comparing to other companies they are expensive. But on other hand I think you get what you paid for.
I think now that there are so many companies competing maybe they will drop their price a bit.
I see that AZTEC mentioned www.purewindow water and how good they are in terms of service and prices; I will defiantly look in to them.

Best Regards
