There is a good set up on ebay with 50 pads and the whole package well worth a newbie geting it to get into l m cleaning.its under carpet cleaning machines ???

derek
-
Derek
I would have a guess it would go for between 600 and 800.
Its the pads that will be worth more than the buffer and digital heater..
-
is that a royal vac?
-
i might bid on it, if i get it i'll be round yours clinton so you can show me how to use it.
derek
ps... how did you get on with the dungeon mistress? ;D
-
Thnk you could be right mike :)
Not sure if that came in the package fom texatherm ???
The pads look almost unused and the set up is clean.
Trouble on ebay it could fetch top money .
-
Derek
No probs with helping you on that one :)
I would show you set up the heater tank and show you how to dip and wring out the pads :)
They never answered the phone when i rang to go ::)
It was a bit of a time bomb being honest, with the cellar and not ventelation with all those dogs down thereand a puppy messing all over the place :D

Did Dave Ingram sell his 3.4?
If I was going to buy a spitfire I'd want his one.
-
Mike o
Thats your molbie number for that granny on the post that tosh did ;)
-
Just seen that other set up in oxford, think we are going to see many of these set ups for sale in the new year and also others as the downturn bites ???
-
And not a hint of grey. ;)
-
I think the seller of that spitfire has another account that he's using to bid it up. If you look at the details of "bidder 1" he has a lot of first bids on items sold by the same guy, funny that ::)
Regardless, the 1st bid still isn't anywhere near what it'll probably go for...
-
Think you're right Jim, he's a naughty boy.
Even though the 4.0 is considered a bit of a dog, assuming the van and TM are running it could be a bargain for someone.
-
They were probably crap anyway :)
Why is the 4.0 not preferable to the other(s)?
-
I won a double hose ramp off the guy with the spitfire and van, am too waiting for a reply to email for address, nowt as yet.
hopefully will get it soon,
Andrew

Just over the border from Mossy. If he gets his sheepskin coat on quick he could turn a quick profit.
-
no, i never bid till the last second, whats the point, your just encouraging the price up.
is it joe hatton cos its in warrington?

Not my system lads.
Sold my Tex system 18 months ago to Steve Gunn.
Bought DF system 2nd hand, kept for 14 months then sold that in Nov08 to John Gregory.
Now have a 15" Numatic which I have had about 12 years, and the Cimex C48 which I bought off Shaun in Oct 08.
-
why do you keep swapping joe and how do you rate this system on ebay?

-
Looks like a very natural upgrade path to me.

Derek
Few reasons.
I had a demo about 5 years ago of both the Tex and DF systems. Both similar principles though both have a patent so must be different.
I chose the Tex.
I used it a fair bit but got fed up with the wringing over a hot water tub. but did a good job.
Sold it, got the DF system.
Didnt really use it a great deal. To get the best from it you need to use the DF fluids and they are effective but expensive. Still had to do the wringing, but also did a good job.
I suppose with both I never got a good routine of managing the pads.
Solutions UK have just brought out some fluid that is SIMILAR to DF fluids, but at less cost.!
The Cimex, though heavier and definately more suitable for commercial only, is easier to manage in the pad area being encapsulation biased.
Also, I only have a few years left in me so want to be able to use as many different systems as I can while I can.
Not tried a Rug Doctor or Karcher yet though ::)

not got a portie. not worth the expense over the few jobs i turn down.
think ive turned 3 down so far.

Cant understand these 2 units on ebay.
One is finishing in 6 days and is at a higher price then the one finishing in 2 days, but that one has a load more pads with it - and they aint cheap.
-
What I mean Clinton, is the better package that has only 2 days to go is currently the lowest price. The lower package with 6 days to go is the highest price.
Seems wrong way round to me.
-
Joe,
Hard to tell the condition fully from the photos. Also what life have the pads left?, again not totally visible. Both tanks seem clean, but what condition are the rotary's in?

I have sent the guy with the 4.0 a messgage asking various questions about the machine. Anyone that is not mechanically minded or has not had experience with TMs i would advise against a 4.0. They are a good machine when working ok but a pig when something goes wrong. Most of the wiring & stuff could be disconnected as its normally that that goes wrong. The 3.2 is a great little machine, rare those go wrong and even when they do they are very simple to sort out.

thats bound to be a good price for that truck mount set up is it not?
Ryan
-
OK, who got the Spitfire 'bargin'?
He would have got more if it was easier to find. ::)
-
I only found it cos he was also selling a spotting machine. Not sure what section but he had put truck mount and spit fire for some reason, almost as if he didn't want someone to find it.
