Post by: Huczek on January 08, 2009, 07:45:05 pm
Hi

thinking of starting up and trying to way up pros and cons.

Do you need to have insurance to cover the peoples windows / property?

When does it start to pick up?

thanks

thanks,

and do you need this as soon as you start? only reading the other posts it seems that it might have to be a part time thing for a good few months to start with to build it up.

what i really mean is it expensive as i dont want to put loads of money into something that might not work!

No you do not need it.

But i would have it to prevent any issues encase you did have an accident.

Make sure you know exactly what your insurance covers you for! Public Liability Insurance does not cover everything that could happen whilst you are window cleaning - so be sure to check what cover or additional cover you can get.

Its always best to have insurance, just because of the "might happen" factor.

I think you will find that Public Liability insurance is required by law for anyone trading in whatever profession.

If you don't have it then you may as well put on your stetson hat and walk out that door with your spurs clicking away behind you cowboy!

For what it costs and the piece of mind it gives then you'd be a fool to go without it.

I've just had my renewal policy today for PL, EL, Treatment Risk and Vehicle Contents insurance £1211, which is two thirds of what it was last year.
