I have bought a new bag of resin qnd started using it today, at first it was coming out at 000 and within 5 hours has crept up too037.
could the reason for this have anything too do with the cold, or could the cold weather have broke the membranes on my merlin ?
any help greatly appreaciated as i cant work out what is going on .

Check the tds before resin, if it's sky high you'll know the membranes are shot and that's why the resin had depleted so soon
-
check your TDS before the RO then after, if its not taking at least 200 TDS away you know the RO is stuffed.

hmmmm i have had spotting at a lot less would not take that as red to carry on
best to try on ur own windows before u try for paying customers

im not too sure if ive set it up wrong, its a merlin and is set up like this;
tap water going straight in too the di filter then coming out in too the merlin ro unit .
it has 4 outputs on it with the top one not being used, the white is water going in after the di filter, black is waste, and the blue is product water .

i have my ro before my resin, resin is just used to polish the water off.

This does not sound right to me. You have the DI before the RO?

The DI goes AFTER the RO.
The RO takes about 90% of all the crud out and the DI deals with whats left.

thats the problem then..lol
you might even need a booster pump in the cold weather for your RO too.
The order you need it
Tap>>>Booster Pump (If your pressure is not good enough)>>>RO>>>DI>>>Tank
