Hi all
Just about to start up after 20 years away from window cleaning and was wondering what most customers prefer in Ireland,in regards to regularity of window cleaning? I think most around co louth are 6 to 8 weekly but i dont know if thats because the w.c.s. are to busy to do them every 4 weeks or if that is what the customer wants. Just wondering if you could let me know what you think.

Ive got customers every 2,4,8 & 3 monthly omn demestics, its really a matter of what works for them & ofcourse you

Im in Oxford UK and I find 6 weekly is best to offer as most customers prefer this frequency. However, I am from Swords in Dublin originally and my Parents road get cleaned 'whenever' the window cleaner (polish guy) gets around, usually every 3ish months.
I think even the poles have adapted to the easy way of Irish life ;D
My advice though is to set a frequency and stick to it. When I started 3 years ago I offered 4, 6 or 8 weekly to each customer but when my books got full it was a nightmare as some weeks are over full and some are virtually empty.
Ive now changed most to 6 weekly and its much better as it is more evenly distributed over the weeks

hi i use do to most of my customers every 4 weeks but after the christmas i'm changing almost everyone to 6 weeks due to this economic situation just don't want to lose them.and i think it's fair for them as in most of areas they don't really need doing every 4 weeks.but also have quite a few every 8 weeks and 3 months .i always ask them first how often they wamt doing.

I run a 'mainly' 8 weekly scheduled round with a few 3monthly large houses/commercial but in the main it's 8 weekly and this i find is a happy medium when I come their windows are dirty and they can see the difference...
Plus I think if I attended monthly I would just get so bored with it.

I mainly do 4 weeks or any multiple of i have a few 6 weeks but to be honest these are a pain and are going to be changed to 8 week
Try to get everyone on the same frequency or multiple of whatever frequency you decide on makes your round much easier to manage

all my work is 6 or 12 weekly

i think most prefer 6-8 weekly as at the end of the day its just another bill that they can easily drop if they want to. By cleaning a little less often they are more happy when you do come and also they can see you,ve been and you usually get a better price! and round soon fills up

2 week and 4 week i do mine, and i think if you start doing your work every 6 weeks instead of 4 then you will oose more money than you would to the financial crisis..

Most customers seem to prefer 6-8 weeks and as long as you charge a good price it can work in your favour. You don't get so many drop out for one thing.

I work mine on a monthly clean with 4 working weeks to the month. that way people have a date in their head for when they should see me, and if i get a bit behind then i know i have a few days to get cought up at the end of the month. of course the goes belly up in feb, no spare days :D

i clean by the month, usualy monthly but find most people tend to be happier once every 2 months , and this allows me to have more customers so better and stonger business, I get more Facias garage door and con roof cleans this way.

i'm changing almost everyone to 6 weeks due to this economic situation .
so you devaulling your round and takink a pay cut unless you have enough work to fill 6 weeks
and a 33% pay cut at that!
I have gone to 6 weeks from 4 too.
ok yes it does mean a paycut etc. but as said I am confident i will not lose many because of economic slowdown, wfp apparantly leaves windows cleaner for longer so goes the sales blurb on some peoples websites ( a bit of a daft thing to be telling your customers in my view) so atleast my custies will see the benefit of keeping their wc on. Springtime always brings in new business (lets hope its the same this year) giving me the space to take on new work and build a more quality round. By beginning of April I hope to have condensed my round in to 4-5 weeks thus if they are 6 weekly I get to take regular short breaks and time off throughout the summer months without having to fall behind.

i don't mind changing them from 4 to 6 weeks basis.i know they don't mind.i can fill my gaps with gutter clearing and just started few months ago carpet cleaning for those wet days.also done some painting as well(small jobs)but i like to stick on cleaning.cheers

LOL if you do it the way your doing it you`ll lose loads of work the way things are at the moment,if someone starting up asked me about frequency of cleaning i would say 6-8 weeks you can charge more and it allows you to hardly ever get behind.Commercials a different story from domestic and the times they are cleaned will vary from anything from daily to monthly,i would offer 6-8 weekly unless they said they wanted it more regular as a month comes round far to quick in this game.
