Title: what you store your battery in
Post by: jaykie on January 06, 2009, 04:09:22 pm
My 85ah that i got with my system (purefreedom) sat on a tray between the 2 pumps and raised from the ground, but as battery isnt lasting the day i bought a new one but its bigger in size, where and in what do you put your battery as dont want terminals exposed, bloke in the car shop said to cut a 25 ltr water barrel in half and cover with that.

I use 85amp leisure batterys and as long as you look after them i.e. keep them well charged they are OK.

I have 3. 1 on charge in garage. 1 in use and 1 as spare in van. Most days I change battery and put it on charge. Have been wfp nearly 3 years and batterys all lasting. Also have split charge relay.
