Happy New Year to everyone!
I've had a well earned rest from work for twelve days. Feel refreshed and wish I didn't have to go back to work considering it's so cold outside but unfortunately I haven't won the lottery so I must go back to pay all the incoming bills yet again.
Thankfully, all my wfp equipment is insulated. No ice in the water in my van tank although it's close to freezing, so I decided to switch my Omnipole heater on to raise the temperature of the water, to make sure the hoses aren't frozen and my pump runs smoothly. Heater started first time, pump works fine and hoses aren't frozen. Batteries are still fully charged from a split relay fitted.
My winter pre-preparation of equipment to ensure my first day back at work runs smoothly and hassle free has paid off. It's a good feeling to discover everything runs perfectly after a long break.
If only everything in life was so reliable :)

Well they didn't teach you the quote properly!
It's the '7 Ps'...
"Prior Preparation and Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance!"
Sorry.

Hello Tosh,
I knew that version, just kept it short without the 'p' .....e...e.. word, 'cause last time a moderator removed it from a previous post I made. The quote still rings very true and I always apply it where possible, just like I'm sure you do as it gets drummed in to military personnel. :)
