One of my highest returns is in a parish magazine I use to advertise in.

It costs £4.50 a month and Ive probably had about £1,000 of one-off gutter cleans and about £300.00 as a rough guess of regular repeat window work.

Never seen a parish mag around here ( lots of non believers here, very nice some of them, especially the ones that speak english  ;D)   but I advertise in the free local mags and cover the  cost on the first cleans of the new customers just about. Sometimes a lot more, but never much less.

I also think parish mags are a good place to have a presence.
My round as it is at the moment has been 90% built on a single advert in a parish magazine which costs me a tenner a year. Most of the rest have been with leaflets which i cherry pick properties to deliver to, or from a recommendation.

We tried advertising a different business in the freebie papers, it was very expensive and the return was minimal. However, lots of small businesses run continuous ads in these papers so they must believe that its worth the money.

We advertise in one of the local Parish magazines, we get a few from it each time.

I moved out into the middle of nowhere, 30 mins away from where we used to live, and 30 mins away from town.

I didnt have any work this way, no i was like a new thing round here so i got a few more customers from my van.

I went and asked the local school where the little one goes and said do you need a window cleaner? and they just aid we dont really have the money for that.

So gesture of good wll i did them for free and i got mentioned in the school letter so all the parents saw that then they said why dont you put an add in the local paper.

THought its worth a go, i paid £5 around 2 years ago and its still in there every month and yes i have got work from it!
