is there anything out there fore sale, that can attach to any pole base for emergency's, say your just 2ft short of reach, am sure i have heard of this adaption before
-
There was a thread a few weeks back about using some waste pipe , I think.
-
have you got the link to it, thanks
-
What type of pole are you using?
-
i am using the xtel pole, i do domestic only, just that i have come across a few that my 17ft cant reach,
-
The only way that I can think of doing it on this type of pole and at that height which is not a lot.
Is get a piece of plastic piping 3 foot long , at one end cut a grove down the centre for about 4 inches, you then place this on the end of your pole and close the grove end with a julbilee clip.
It should do the job.
-
Depends how much you want to spend but I often use 2 Zenzorflex fishing poles or a gangster pole. Goes to about 22 to 25 ft very roughly. Only paid £15 each for the zenzorflex plus tube of superglue and a brush pole end. So light.
-
pop pole hose down center of short pipe as it will leve it songer with out the cut in it
-
Step ladder? Beer crate? ;D
-
Just buy a longer pole.
-
Hi Jo, ive replied on your forum, dont want to get in trouble...
-
I've actually used one of the fatter sections from one of Omnipole's powerpoles for this. I have wedged scrim in there to ensure a tighter fit. Not ideal but it does work as a makeshift due to the unique clamp design. Not sure if it's worth buying such a section especially for this but fine if you already have one.

Try wearing some of the wife's 2ft high platform shoes or even better stand on some stilts for that extra reach just like plasterers, or ...... park your van under the window and stand on the roof of it ;D
-

I just made one up and it does work

any idea what size of waste pipe you used, i/d o/d thanks
-
40mm waste pipe from B&Q.
I have just adapted it
I cut a section of waste pipe 6 inces long then divided this into pieces.
I then cut a section of waste pipe 4 foot long.
with the divided sections I used 1 julbilee clip and fixed this to end of the 4 foot pole, really tight, the end of this splint which should be 3 inches above the end of the 4 foort pole is now slightly wider, just put you excel pole into this
-
the waste pipe idea was
1 and 1/4" and 1 and 1/2" glued together and put on the base end of your pole
i tried something else, it didnt work, but ive spoke to the guy i got it off and he is having a look for something that will work
