Been out to check my van and system this morning and found a large crack on Merlin. I've put some waterproof sealant on it with the hope that will solve the problem. All my hoses were frozen too. Great start to 2009.

Cant believe I;m the only one using a merlin on here.

perhaps they are not all that they are cracked up to be. :)

I got one but i dont use it currently. Its in the shed.
From your first post you never asked any questions regarding who has one, only commented on your troubles.

Waterproof sealant won't help at all.
It will have cracked at the weakest point so hopefully there will only be one crack in it.
Depending on whwre the crack is you may be able to buy a replacement part.
I would try to find out and get it ordered ready for the thaw.

A few years back my expensive membranes cracked, due to the pressures in the membrane waterproof sealant will do nothing, its a bin job!!, mine are pemanantly garaged now!!

I use one. It's protected OK though because it's not in the van these days.
