Title: Dry fusion
Post by: stevegunn on March 10, 2005, 11:06:54 pm
Having dry fusion demo next week anything i should be asking or looking out for.Heard good things about the system what sort of prices are people charging for offering this service.I know people were prepared to pay double my normal price when i used dry compound to clean their carpets before i saw the light and moved back to using mainly hwe.People are prepared to pay that little bit extra to have their carpets dry before you leave.

Steve, when are you getting your demo, been looking into this as well, undecided between this and bonnet so was going to give them a ring to arrange demo myself.

Hi Steve

I had demo few weeks back good piece kit but does cost a lot when you compere it to Super Pads. It would be interesting to know difference in drying times and quality of job.

Steve. Are you talking about 'Host' as the dry compound method ? If so, is Host any good? Was thinking of getting it second hand as I only have HWE at the mo.

Steve,
you are well aware of the products that sollutions sell including charlie pads,
so i am curious as to why you do not use this system, assuming that you don't.
i recently bought a texatherm system and have only used it a couple of times so far but i am impressed with the result.
Ideally i would have had a trial/demo of dry fusion/charlie pads and texatherm
before making up my mind but this is not always practcable.
Good look
paul

Cleanability Yes i'm talking about the host dry clean system. It is ok many customers still ask for it now its always a useful tool to add to your exsisting equipment.

paul_smithI do use charly pads i don't work for Solution i am allowed to use other products ;) I'm not convinced about them in a domestic situation thats just my view now to be shot down ::)

Steve, i will be interested to hear your views after having demo of df,i would reccomend looking at texatherm aswell, but like you mentioned about charlie pads ,i do not think tex is best suited to domestic when you have hwe available.

for what it's worth
i had a demo for texatherm and charlie just recently. no point in me looking into dry fusion as i will be doing acres of flotex. both systems were impresive .the texaterm has a big selling point with it's abillity to kill off e'coli and other "famous" bugs that troulbe our sickly nation. charlie pad was good because you don't have to stick 'em in the washing machine at the end of the day. bloody close call when you take all into account. i'm a truckmounter with rx20 and i like the noise but on low profile i'm going to be using charlie soon. however if i can scare enough doctor surgery's, nursing homes and hospitals i will get tex also. probably doesn't help much but look at as much as you can before you part with any cash. good luck.

Magic Carpet

Have a look at Craftex Therma Dry System, it will clean Flotex and it uses an anti bacterial treatment.

Yes today is the day really looking forward to the demo.Already have customers showing an interest in the system.Again its the drying time thing yet again everyone I have asked would be prepared to pay more if their carpets are dry in 30 minutes.

Had demo very impressed customer wants to book maintenance plan. They were well impressed it was dry in 30 minutes as promised and left a nice smell.I ran the charly pads after he went and could see little difference in the clean but it was a little damp when I left also had to use a deodoriser with charly pads whereas with dry fusion it was done in one process.

So are you saying its all evens in terms of results?

Whats the drying times with your charly pads?

I wouldnt be too concerned about the deodorizor.

With charly pads drying times between 45 to an hour.I do like the idea of the protection & deodorise dry fusion offers.Time will tell when i go back to clean the nursing home again.
