can anyone advise on getting website hits up?
I have a site comming online soon and will be using yell.com but i don't want to spend a fortune advertising with google etc.
i remember similar posts on this recently but can't remember the advice.

Hi Paul

Using key words on your website is part of the answer.
Another, is having other website links on your website.
A good idea is to have a "friends of" page on your website, like companies that you would reccomend, both these help what they call spiders, to find you, and push you up.
It usually takes about six months though!!

I am now on the first page of google.

Try a company called IOMART, they have a system called "Rapidrank" which forces a lot of hits onto your website every hour, constantly, therefore getting you onto the search engines a lot quicker, theres a load of techno jargon about  how it works, but all you need to know is that it does what it says on the box.  Costs £99 pa +vat  www.iomart.net

Carpet cleaning in Solihull, at the moment it is not giving my name out as a header, its in the text, but that is likely to happen within the next month.
