Teenagers bedroom carpet tomorrow along with 3 other rooms.
100m from my house so actually went round to quote.
Fake tan on carpet in a lot of places, says it's been down a while.
Will it or won't it and if it will what with??
Told her not to hold her breath and to her credit she says she doesn't expect it to come out just wants the carpets cleaning.
It's not wool.
I'd love to see it come out though just for the look on her face.

wont come out.

No I don't think I've a chance of even fading it a bit, it's a bit like dye is the stuff.

Graeme from Access cleaning solutions has wrote an article on how to remove fake tan.

Just got back from a fake tan stain today approx. 2 x 2 ft in one corner of the room, think she must have just stood there to do an all over body tan. :P
Explained was a good possibility that it was permanent but she wanted the carpets cleaned anyway and said just do what you can.
Don't know if this will work for you, but applied a heavy spray of coffee stain remover to a small patch in the middle of it, left to dwell while I cleaned the rest of the room, came back and rinsed and the patch was considerably lighter than the rest, covered the rest of the area, dwelled, rinsed, then did the same again all over, Stain gone, :o
One very happy customer.

A 10-1 mixture of 6% HP and 880 Ammonia.
Not sure I understand this mixture and what is 880 Ammonia?

Hi,
880 ammonia is saturated ammonia solution, the type you buy from say a hardware store.
Hope this helps
