Title: Charity
Post by: pete sween on December 17, 2008, 07:41:57 pm
As you know there is a meeting of some guys in April.

At this meeting there will be a charity raffle and auction. We have some very generous donations from suppliers but I am specifically writing this to see if anyone would be interested in bidding for 3 cds of the band Keane signed by them. I happen to clean for the lead singer and he has kindly agreed to offer these up for the auction as the charity will be the macmillan cancer trust. If anyone is a fan and would be interested in them then they can email what will be treated as a sealed bid.

I do hope the moderators will see this post for what it is and not some cynical plug. I lost my mum and recently my sister (inadvertantly) to cancer so please lets just let this run for the cause that it specifically relates to.

Your local radio station might help with this..................similar product was auctioned a week ago on one of our local radio stations, for a charity and was at £1500 in 15 minutes, don't know what it finished at.
