just building up a round with wfp,would it be best to inform custies that you will be using a water fed pole or just turn up using it ,

Opinion is divided on the matter Gemma 6166, all the other wfp'ers say get on with it, I say drop in a brief letter thanking them for joining your window cleaning service and among other things (such as payment methods, frequency of clean etc) put in a paragraph about you using wfp and how it does a better job, reaches more windows and ameliorates insurance and H&S issues.

Why draw attention to it?
When I first started I used to give customers a letter and I got quiet a few cancel because they didn't like the idea. So I just started turning up to new ones and cleaning WFP, if they asked about it I would explain how it worked and they were fine.

Yup same here.
If they want it trad, they actually ask for it that way now.

I agree why draw attention to it. They might be put off with something new. When someone phones me i give a quote do the job and wait for there responce,of which is normaly very good and a lot mention the safety factor.

I’m with Malc on this.
I have a ‘all-in-one’ leaflet that is all of the following – ‘flyer’, ‘terms & conditions’, ‘receipt’ and ‘explanatory leaflet’.
When I give them a quote, I briefly explain WFP cleaning to them and leave them a leaflet which they can read when I’ve gone. I say “Give it a go – if you don’t like the system, or the results, you don’t have to have it done again”
The leaflet also says that ‘Either party may cancel further cleans at any time’. This seems to put their mind at rest.
