This company called me today;
http://www.globalcommunicationsolutions.org.uk/index.htm
I have an 0800 number which is pointed at my landline, then my landline is diverted to my mobile (when I had 0800 directly pointed to mobile I had big probs with poor line cutting off ect. not good!)
So with me paying for landline to my mobile when custmers call its expensive with BT charges.
This guy said he could do a 0800 number so i could point my landline to it it then goes to my mobile I would get 1000 mins a month free for a one off fee of £125 for life.
This would save my paying BT for the landline to mobile calls.
Anyone done this?
are the company reputable?

Hi Guys
Had a call from them on Friday, said send me an email with details which he did.
Call first thing this morning, you asked me to call you (lie), have you got my email.
Me, yes I have but havent had a chance to look at it yet.
Oh Fxxxxxxx Hell, was his comment and he hung up, not very professional, they won't be getting any of my money ;)
Cheers

Same here i put the phone down on him before he could waffle on ;D
They are a pest specially this time of year ::)

Thanks chaps,
I give them a miss!
Any one know of another way of making a saving or another company offering better deal than BT?
(I have to pay BT line rental who ever I'm with)

Try not having a 0800 number.

John I would still pay the same cost, landline to mobile.

Craig
Who does your0800 at present.
Resources have specific 0800 numbers direct to mobile
-
We're in the process of setting up a separate business to our main one, I'm after putting in a separate land line with an 0800 number, that can be diverted to a mobile.
Any ideas, who's doing the best deals out there?
-
Hi both Ians, I have used these a few years now for my 0800 numbers; http://www.call08.com/
£10 a month 500 mins included in that, and I never go over, so quiet happy with that, I think its pretty cheap.
I did try the divert direct from 0800 to moblie but had trouble with poor line cutting off etc. so pointed it to my landline and landline inturn to mobile instead and its been ok since.

Just found this one:
www.telecomsworldplc.co.uk/0800-numbers.asp?gclid=CND_38CmyJcCFUoa3god3XTzRg (http://www.telecomsworldplc.co.uk/0800-numbers.asp?gclid=CND_38CmyJcCFUoa3god3XTzRg)
0800 number for £4.95 and 500 inclusive minutes
Can anyone see anything amiss with this before I bite the bullet and go for it?
-
Looks ok,
But you have bought something to my attention..
My company does a better deal same price £4.95 with 1000 mins,
Did not know im on silver (£9.95) a month with 1500 mins, I dont need that many mins, Il call them tommorrow to drop me down to the £4.95 one.
http://www.call08.com/0800-numbers.php
thought I had only 500 mins they must have changed all the pricing structure since I bought mine. :)
-
Never used 0800 numbers before.
If someone dials your 0800 number I presume the call comes to your home landline or whatever number you specify??
Is this correct?
The 500 minutes you pay £4.95 for, I assume these are incoming calls??
Sorry for ignorance just never gone down that route although obviously I've rung them before.

John,
That's correct, we're looking a putting in a new land line with an 0800 number attached to it so that we can identify which business people are phoning about.
Craig, well done, never saw them, 1000 mins for £4.95, I'll probably go for them instead unless anyone else can find a better deal. ;D

Regarding craigp and dougs first post, global communications have phoned me several times now, firstly i think i got the same guy Doug got and found little help off him.
Yesterday a lady phoned me and was very helpfull, i also got out of her that if you use BT call diversion, the *21* type, instead of diverting to your mobile phone, divert it to your 0800 free number which in turn you have diverted to your mobile, you then are not paying for the usual diversion to your mobile.
Might be worth another look if this is the case, deal was one off of £150, for 1000 minutes per month and they will stand the first month if you go over your limit,
a very helpfull lady she was.

Bit the bullet today and ordered a second land line from BT, as soon as I get the number for that I'll contact call08.com and get an 0800 number from them attached to it.
