Brodex are doing some real good offers at the moment,
don`t forget you`ve got that £60 for nothing you can use towards it ;D ;D ;)
-
Their site doesn't seem to be working at the moment. :(
Have you used their poles?
are they ok?
Just checked their website and it`s working fine for me,
i`ve been using their poles for about 3 years and can`t fault them especially the cobra carbon poles ;)
-
just had a look and the 25ft one at £275+vat looks pretty good.
Has anyone used both the cobra and the slx, that can give me an honest comparison?
Thanks pole king, your £10 finders fee is in the post ;D
I can`t comment on the slx has i have never used one i know a lot that have and do really like them,
the brodex cobra carbon are top quality and very rigid i have the 25ft and love it ;)
-
the cobra and sl-x are no comparison...the sl-x takes it. Ive held the cobra its just too long, too heavy. the sl-x is a workable pole, forget brodex stuff.....though it will last you

you`ve "HELD" the brodex cobra pole ::)
i "USE" it and it`s brilliant ;)

yep, well I could tell everything i needed from doing that. No doubt its a good pole as I have owned 2 brodex poles, but its too heavy and too long when closed. We want work tools that improve our cleaning capabilities, if a pole is too big, it takes more time, time is money

It`s not too heavy at all,i don`t have any issues with the weight i could use it all day,and as for the length just use a smaller pole ;)
-
Your right, its not too heavy, but when poles like the SL-X exist, then this pole is far heavier. The advertised weight of the Cobra is 2.2kg. Now I know that Brodex only count the pole, no hose or anything else. My Pro-long a whole kg heavier than advertised when it came....a whole kg. So that cobra will weigh even more if you put it on the scales.
Lenght wise, its 7.6ft.....thats aot. Poles need to be shorter and lighter so we save our energy and dont need to switch poles all the time
-

Horses for courses my young lad,
you must be one of the lighter more fragile variety,be careful you don`t break a nail :-*
-
umm, dont think so. Im 6ft 3, 18 and built strong :) Dont get me wrong, I know the Brodex poles are good. Ive owned 2, but I like the SL-X and SL-2!

If you are 6ft 3, 18 ?( don`t know if that`s age or weight) and built strong then how on earth can you think 2.2kg (3 if max) is heavy for a pole to use ::)
-
Its not weight ha ha. Im not sure you understand exactly what Im trying to say. Its not physically too heavy. Before the SL-X I used the Pro-long 25ft, which is much heavier than the Cobra. But its too heavy considering the SL-X is now available, things have changed. If you can get something lighter then its worth it.

Ok Luke,no probs you carry on using the poles you prefer and likewise for me,each to their own ;)

Facelift 24ft carbon fibre brilliant pole and i own one dont listen to the so called experts who have held a pole for 30seconds and dont actually own one they are usually talking out of there arse.
-
1. I want SHORT closed length
2. I want LIGHT
3. I want HARD WEARING
4. I want QUICK SERVICE
If possible I would like all the above at less than £50.
Failing that, I can spend up to £500
guess I'll have to drop no. 4 from the list and get an slx if they ever materialize.
yes, this pole exists..,.....its starts wit s and ends with x with an l in between

24ft carbon Facxlift lol. ;D

The new Xtel 24ft carbon fits every criteria for you.
I reckon that Gardiners have the best deal on them at the moment.
The sections are short, the clamps are great OK it isn't the lightest pole at this height but with the rigidity you get with carbon you could work all day with it easily. I,ve sold quite a few and all the customers love them.

Is that the new 1 and not the hybrid.

Best pole i`ve ever used for domestic and anything up to 30 odd ft,no other tele pole i`ve used comes close and i`ve tried em all.

Yes it is the new one.

That's the '25ft' Cobra. The one that you need to compare to the new SL-X is the 35ft Cobra at £608. The one to compare to the old SL-X is the 30ft Cobra at £508.

The X-Tel carbon is 6'1" long and weighs 2.0kg.

Alex,
Is 5th Jan a definite date?
The 15th of December was a definite date and we had the product four days ahead of schedule. However we could not have foreseen the manufacturing flaw which occurred which meant another delay. The 5th of January we believe is a definite date but as has been shown before, unforeseen events can occur to delay it further. I sincerely hope not!

IMO it's well worth waiting for the sl-x, even if you have to buy a cheap/throwaway pole to put you on 'till it arrives. ;)

At the end of the day there all throw away poles somewhere along the line,i can`t beleive you`ve turned your back on the Facelift Tony.Great pole in my book and is still earning money over 3 yrs on with no clamps that need adjusting all the time, the Facelift really has stood the test of time and the 1 in the back of my van prooves it.
-
you want an ionixs carbon or facelift but brodex stuff will wear well esp if its used by workers

Don't know what you did with your clamps but mine only need adjusting once a blue moon AND I've never glued them either ???
The facelift is too long now after using the sl-x, the clamps no where near outweigh all the other bennefits of the sl-x! ;)

You can cut any pole down to the size you require that`s what i did,the Facelift pole is perfect for this if you require a shorter closed pole it takes minutes to do.

That is an expensive way of getting a shorter pole though. The new 30ft SL-X is £387 all-in whereas the Facelift 35ft (which is actually 31ft 6 inches) is £764 all-in. To get the Facelift as compact as the SL-X you would need to reduce the longest section to just 5' 5", with the length of the clamps, the pole would now be just 25ft when fully extended.
For the average user this would just not be economic to do - £764 for a 25ft pole. They are great poles though, but so is the new SL-X :)
-
alex
you mentioned a while ago you could get this pole custom made,
would you be able to get it made, to the same closed length as my 17 ft excell,?
as this is a great closed length, and is what i am used to ;)

I'm sure that would be no problem, email me with your specific requirements.

The thing is though Alex if you like or prefer the facelift pole it`s money well spent.
