£80-100 for regular cleans for me and whatever u add for first clean. that side part that is pictured looks like it could cause problems for WFP not much room to move, or is there?
-
no its a bit of a tight squeeze!!!
-
£150 all day
-
£1 a pane, roughly a metre sq.
-
works out at around £100 if u go by £1 a pane but should i take into consideration the tight access down the side?
-
Most defently looks like a mud pit down the side section so hose's gonna get dirty as hell. the price i said was based on the side being a problem
-
youve been a busy boy eh richy :) you phone these places or get em through the website?? you settled on a price for that builders clean yet??
-
yellow pages this job!! wish i was busy sent 100 letters last week and had 1 reply!!!
-
is that in bromborough?
-
richy - if you use a high flow (i mean turn the varistream up to 5 or 6) you should be able to knock that job out (on a regular clean) in about an hour to 90mins if you can start it early morning.
we do a business property nearly identical to that, same type of frames etc and about 120 1mx1m panes, takes 2 of us 45-50mins to do. We charge £80 so you would prob get something similar for that job.

Why oh why do you think it is okay to charge extra for a first clean?
Does your car wash charge "extra" for really dirty cars compared with just dirty cars?
Let me clear this up
If you charge extra for a first clean you are just being greedy.
A window is the whole unit that is fitted within the whole space left by the builders.
That means the frame and the sill is part of the window . Other wise you are a "glass cleaner" not a window cleaner>
You must start thinking beyond the first fast buck and look a little more long term.
If you charge extra for cleaning the frames the first time do you reduce the cost each time after when it takes little or no time at all?
Spend the extra time on the initial visit and be proud of the result, look upon it as a "loss leader" or "customer service " but don't make them pay for it.

When i say to customers that it will be more for the first clean they agree with me,after the first clean it`s plain sailing but the first clean you`ll have spiders nests cobwebs galore baked on bird poo etc. It`s a clever selling point really as they think from there after they`ll be getting it cheaper, suck em in like woolworths lol. ;D

gordans thats your opinion not others if it takes longer then why not charge more??
people carry on running your business how you like ...if it works for you why change it and i mean well you started your own business so YOU could be the boss!!!!!
first clean charge more first clean charge more first clean charge more ;D
-
with u ron!!!! im sure if someone came in to clean ya house and it was a pigsty n they took longer to get it clean theyd charge more then go to a rduced rate on a regular clean

sometimes i double it on really big houses, smaller ones i might add a bit, sometimes not at all, depends how busy i am, how much i want the job, where it is, whether i think the custy will be okay with it etc etc, but i wont stop because some dude on a forum says so :)
and since when do you have to clean all frames etc when window cleaning?? otherwise why aould upvc cleaning exist??
if they wanted that i would price it seperate......why stop at frames, clean there bricks, fascias and soffits, and toilets too, bet you will get loads of recommendations then....

oops look what i started ;D

Common sense,i never charge more for 1st cleans and i dont understand why you have to charge more for longer intervals either, job is to clean dirt off windows
Me too

Havn't always agreed with Gordon in the past but do this time , i look at it as take your time do it right first time and after it's a lot easier so you make your time back and if it's a long term customer you'll benifit in the end,
If it's a one off yes bump the price up but the aim surely is to secure them as a regular clean
-
its common sense ... if it takes longer to clean on the first visit, the price should be a little more. My customers have always understood.
If the windows are quite clean on the first clean then there is no need to charge more
