i undone it emptied water tryed again and the same.
any ideas before i change resin and swill it through....and does the top white sponge thing need ever need changing as its looking abit manky..
-
does your ro / di go into a holding tank ?
if it does and you have a ballcock fitted ,check it is operating correctly,
also parts of your system could be froze.

daz, tis going into holding tank and checked pipe from di to it and seems ok was wandering if this top sponge is blocked and if so how can i clean it out cus the lid seems 2b glued on....
-
what size / type di you using?
when you say nothing coming out of di , have you tried dissconnecting ro feed to di, to see if that runs freely

its the one that came with my freedom trolley, glass one with the plastic tube in middle , the flow from ro 2 di is good cus its filling up the di quick.it just not coming out tutha end mate.....
-
is the cannister inside the glass vessel in the right way round,
it normally has an arrow, which should point to top of glass vessel.
also try loosening vessel, to see if there is any air in the system

Have you tried to tighthen up the top of the di and clear canister. Have had this before when I changed the resin and. Just unscrewed the canister and then done it up really tight.
Hope that helps.
-
the tubes right way round ,its been running since 7am.....ive just took it out and swilled it out with warm water / turned it upside down with warm water in left it 4abit nothing came out ..then it dribbled threw...could it be that the top sponge became blocked or frozen???

thats what i meant by loosening , you probably had air in the vessel,
when changing resin, i refit glass vessel loosely, then when water pours out of top ,
fully tighten.

prob frozen, run di without fitting the inner tube , to see if water is fowing through vessel head.

whenyou say comes out of top then tighten do u mean when urs is running normal your vessel is always full to top because my vessel only ever gets about 2inchs up then comes out into water butt
-
yes , you will have air in , loosen vessel, then tighten when vessel overflows.

hi stig
glad you got it sorted , noticed your avitar, looks like a peregrine falcon,
was into falconry for many years, flown loads of different hawks, falcons in my time ,had to give it up though due to time
daz
-
yes mate ,would love to get into falconarybut having done my homework i realised i too havent the time or room for it..i had some sound advice from the site :international falconry: bet you miss though
-
yep, esp on cold frosty days like we have had lately , can see for miles , just me and my hawk out in the middle of nowhere , trees bear, so can spot hawk easily .
will definatly start again , when i have more time ,was hard to give it up after over 15 yrs of practising falconry
