Ive just moved through to Edinburgh and thought id found myself a new job window cleaning i went out for a cpl hrs 1st day trial backout the nxt day then worked the Saturday which was optional i was told but i wanted to show i was keen, on Monday got a call saying weather not that good was i available afternoon it had been snowing and i said id rather leave it till nxt day as my knee had flared up and one slip would have put me out of action for weeks they had already asked me if i liked the job i said yeah and i had resigned from my other job where i previously lived as i thought i had this one,nxt day got a txt saying weather bad dont come out no word the nxt day so i called on the weds evening to be told they were trying out other applicants, totally gutted i know its not my work as ive 10 yrs experience i dont do hangovers and am presentable and polite the only thing i can think of is they dont like "weegies" which i heard mentioned so thats me out of work altogether at the moment twiddlng my thumbs and relying on my poker skills to make a living lol.Ijust wondered if there was any window cleaners in the Edinburgh area who dont mind "weegies" (im from Motherwell) looking for a worker part time or fulltime.

Edinburgh is the only place that they get double glazing to stop the children from hearing the ice cream van.

Sorry to hear that Paul but i doubt if it was the accent or the fact that you hail from near soapdodge city.
Keep a eye on the jobcentre website as jobs in Edinburgh come up quite regular, especially at this time of year as the cold kicks in and the weak ones cannae peel themselves off the electric blanket in the mornings.
There are a couple in Roslin and Tranent just now but they are out of town and could be tricky starts if you have no motor.
The only time i have anti weegie feelings is when the old firm roll into town but thats a different story.
