I have got an Ionics pro 5 i use in my garage to produce my water.

At present I am powering it with a battery which is permanently connected to a charger.

I need to find an alternate method without the need for battery charging, id there a mains adapter i can buy or something
-
wat voltage is the battery 12V??

 cant u use a 12V dc adaptor?
-
				you need something like this

 h ttp://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-MAINS-230V-TO-12V-POWER-ADAPTER-CONVERTER-AC-DC_W0QQitemZ110320766879QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_ConsumerElectronics_PowerAdaptors_SM?hash=item110320766879&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1301%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318

ditch the ciggie lighter end and just connect it to the device

though you will have to check the power your " i cannot say the word " system needs

as you might need something with a little more ooompppph ( they have them on ebay )

Give it to Matt and he`ll take down to his shed and give it the once over lol. ;D ;D ;D :-*

				Matt

All it needs is something to power the solenoid, the power allows the solenoid to open which lets the water in.
-
Why don`t you just wire up a solinoid valve like you would in a van to the static battery.

I do that at the moment , but keep it permanently on trickle charge.

I want something more permanent i can just plug in the mains, therefor totally eliminating the battery
-
dave, that ebay item i listed will be ok then

its just a plug in the wall that produces 12 V power

 job done
