Went to give a price to a lady today in house like the one i have uploaded that picture is not the house but the same looking style and windows.
anyway she said her last window cleaner was quite expense on the phone and went on to say he used the pole system and was looking for the same type of cleaner again. Anyway got there had a quick look no hard to reach windows all pritty easy said my price and she went :o oh god!... i though oh here we go! she said thats cheap the last window cleaner charged us £25.00 monthly but we chose every 6 weeks because of the price.
I could not belive £25.00 for a house at of this size no side windows just front back easy to get around the back too.. and she said he was not very reliable either ::)

i would have beeen reliable at that price... on the dot every month ;D
-
I was thinking that ;D wish i said abit more now lol ;)
-
I would have licked them clean for at that price!

Haven't any of you guys ever priced a domestic so well you feel a bit guilty about it; so you don't turn up spot on time every month?
The guy over the road to me was charged £15 for his windows; round these parts it should be a tenner tops (which Squeaky now does them for; and it's a more than fair price), but the other guy just stopped turning up!
I think he'd just over-priced the job since he didn't really want it, got the job, then felt awkward about it.

Maybe one of groundhogs old jobs. ;D

Probobly 1 of mine lol. ;D

The jobs that I do not turn up on regularly are the under-priced ones not the over-priced ones! If I happen to over quote I make sure that the service makes up for the rest of the cost.

he proberlley dident wont it wev all priced a at to big £££££ cos we didet wont it & and sum custys say yes
-
Out of interest how much did you charge.
We do plenty of these older style terraces. They usually have an extension out the back, sometimes they are a pain for access, but we park the van out the front and do a run of 4 or more with the tank system and then use a backpack or the trolley for the backs.
We charge max £8 all round.
-
if access is awkward i'd charge £25 as I wouldn't really want the job.
if they want to pay my price then yhat's up to them
-
5 pound front and back, few years ago it was 3.50

Trike - You mean £5 for the front and £5 for the back, yes?
And do you do the frames and door?
Mike
-
nah trike would charge 5 quid all round i think
-
;D ;D ;Dyes 5 pound all round, yes and door and frames
-
if you have to move the van to access the back then £25 is fairly reasonable ..... 2 x minimum charge of £10-£12
-
I would class a house like that as 2 houses front and back, you do the front and 9-10 you have to move the vehicle.Wait until someone says get a backpack,no thank`s.
-
well would't you just do all fronts?? then all backs? theres about a row of 5/6 houses if i remember
-
How many did you say you had,to warrant it being worthwhile i would want most of em.I know someone that does houses like that and he does adjoining streets 80 fronts in 1 hit.
-
in that row just one but theres about 4 others with dirty windows. i do ones further up the road i have 5 about 400 yards away so its not too bad.
but at his prices i doubt he would of even got 2 hes lucky he got that one round here!

Lets face it, it would be easier to do it with ladders. No moving of vans or gettn trolleys out. Simple
