Smartcharge 8

there is no fan
it is an 'intelligent' charger
It works out what the battery needs and tops it up accordingly.
I usually rotate which battery gets charged and it works out to every third day.
Never had a days problem with a battery going flat since I started to use this charger.

thanks again russ , have you had the smart one long chris@c.m.s and any problems good write up on it , has it got the built in fan ? ( last one i had had one and it drove me mad)

I've had mine about 18 months and not had any problems with it, yes it has got a fan and it can be annoying, when I go to bed I step the charge down from 6amps to 2amps as while charging at that rate the fan switches off.

your charger is the bit of kit you should buy the best you can
i contacted my local battery specialist and they sent me the 1 i needed
