Title: Van insurance -- contents?

I have a Merc Vito just had the renewal insurance from A Plan for £336 which includes £500 tools contents ( I know it not enough but better than nothing). Got a a quote via Go Compare and Kwik Fit offer the same cover minus contents for £183!! Anybody know where I can get just tools cover RO etc.

Wherever you go, fully cover the value of the tools because, in a claim, your claim would be reduiced proportionately.  i.e. on;ly cover half the value and they only pay half the claim

That is a terrible deal.

I pay just over 100 pounds with 5000 pounds tools coverage.

I contacted a broker via here and they arranged Noriwch Union to cover me seperate to my van insurance.

I got an online quote for £95 contents cover. Insurance one of the necessary bains of life!!

I am with A plan and they cover my wfp upto £2000 plus my public liability insurance covers a further £12500 worth of cover.

I'm with A Plan, About £350, fully comp, protected NCB, van & contents
covered up to £30,000.

I asked them to look at the price again as I had a quote that was £60+ cheaper. They were able to give me a final price of £299 for £6:500 of cover. It pays to haggle. I`m of to Tenerife to ease my way through December (-:
