Hi
Following on from the Priceshopper post do you find most email enquires are a waste of time.
I do even the ones that come from the NCCA website.
Really if someone looks at your website and wants to use you thay would ring you up, wouldn't they?

I don't get that many from emails but most phone me so that's the up side, I try and contact them by phone unless they are in dodgy areas so an email will do then and as expected I get nothing back.

I just say I need to speak to them before I can quote and don't respond if they keep on emailing for a price. But, I send them a general email from there on in. ;D

same here, if i get an email its usually there way of saying, "i don't really want it done i'm just enquiring" saying that, doing a quote tomorrow for a leather settee and a living room carpet, i'll let ya know the out come, all though i phoned back rather than emailing, think thats the key.

Same as Mike, I reply with a standard email minus prices and suggest I call them, if they reply then I know they are serious.

an inquiry means they want but just dont belive they can afford.
so to hide behind the key board is an easy way of avoiding the face to face issue .
if a product/service looks out of your budget then you would feel a mug to ask the seller 4 Price on the phone or face to face.
it could be diff in this game ???
but thats how found ppl delt with the issue of parting with £££

Hi Guys
I get a smaller proportion of email enquiries but still pick up some really good jobs.
My advice is if you are going to bother to respond, make it a decent one!
Cheers

Most seem to be so negative to emails.
Every enquiry has to be viewed as a potential customer.
Its what you do with it the enquiry that matters.
Give it your best shot, be it you reply by email or better still - make the phone call if you got number.
