Don't Alltec currently offer the Olympus? Thats 1200psi, and WOC have the Masterforce which is 1200psi also. I think Nilfisk are also importing the US Products 1200 porty, the Cobra (?) which has heat up to 300psi. So these machines are becoming available over here already. I do hard floors and I want one. :)

I'll say the same as I said elsewhere. What the hell use is a portable with twin vac motors and a pump more powerful than a lot of truckmounts?
Even at 1,000psi you're still not "pressure" cleaning a floor, you're rinsing off the chemicals you've put on it. Crank it up to 2,000 or more and you're in a different league.
I'd like to see the splatter from, for example, an Ashbys single jet hard floor wand when it's got 1200psi up its @rse. You'd spend more time wiping the walls down than cleaning the floor. Not sure if you could even use one like the Ashbys wand, the hose and trigger valve aren't rated high enough I don't think (will try and remember to look at mine tomorrow to find out).

You would likely use a spinner that also extracts - long or short handled.
Use a lot of water though - would need auto fill and auto pump out which I know the Solutions Masterforce 1200 has. This machine also has a chemical metering.

Was just going to say what joe said your going to go through a lot of water am thinking you would have to connect it onto a tap ???
-
With all the cheap truckmounts on the go buy one off them and make your life easier....
-
surely when it comes to carpets, its cfm not psi!

i can't believe people are that inexperienced that they think these machines have 1200psi to use on carpets and upholstery ::) ::)
don't you think they have these pumps to use on Hard floors and they are adjustable so just because you have 1200psi doesn't mean you can't turn it down to 200psi
-
I cant see anyone said that at this pressure it is for carpet/upholstery cleaning only.
Mark started it off by mentioning carpet upholstery AND TILES (my caps)
and it went from there.
I think everyone who has posted so far knows what 1200 psi is for and what 200 psi is for.

Joe I just reread the replies so far and you are correct, I misread Jims post about ashbys single jet wand.
I apologies for thinking you are a load of thickos who would use 1200psi on carpets :-* :-*

thinking you are a load of thickos
Although you were wrong Mike, you were probably right on that point ;D
-
Ah but you can use 1200psi on carpets.
Or so Amtech tell us using their wonderwand.
