It get's covered in poope
Gets stuck everywhere, EVERYWHERE.
burns my hands when I reel in too fast.
gets tangled in my pole hose.
I trip over it, despite my own signs warning others not to!
Annoying as hell!
:-X

When you reel in try steadying the reel base with one foot so you have a hand free. Run the hose trough a damp cloth in your free hand, hey presto no more crap on your hose. It also goes onto the reel neatly.

Totally agree with all of them!

My hose has an evil streak and tries to catch me out whenever possible...I am sure that it is out to get me!

I use on of them car buffing mitts to guide the hose back onto the reel , it cleans it , i just hang it up in the van next to back doors , does me.
-
That's handy, car buffing mitts.
-
Hey, if i wear them all the time i could keep my hands warm, clean the carbon dust off the pole, clean my pole hose and clean my microbore. What are they like for driving in?
Maybe i could get the kids to wear them on their feet round the house?
Have to say me and my pole hose don't see eye to eye any more. >:(

Hot hose never gets tangled and it reels in a lot easier,i love hot water lol. ;D ;D ;D
-
of course NWH, its got a brain of its own now its got hot water flowing through it, does it avoid gettin stuck round plant pots, steps, poxy rubbish bin wheels, gates, car tyres, the list is annoyingly endless lol

Mine gets stuck for spite, it makes sure it's exactly 6 inches too short for me to do the job, this means I have to turn off the flow, put the pole down, and go back to free it, 6 inches longer and I could of
un snagged it on the way back.

first oneti market it makes a million......

Mudguards for wheelie bins. Thatshould stop the hose from looping over the darn wheels!
Kevin.
-
Yeah how many times have you been pulling the hose round the back of a house and it gets caught on something ............only to find its caught on the TINIEST thing like a twig or something grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr ........
i thought it was only my hose that was against me!!!!!!!!!!!
-
All this talk about tugging and pulling 'hoses' I think Im on the wrong forum ???
-
Hot hose is nice, but them darn wheelie bin wheels are so annoying. Sometimes wish people still used the old metal dustbins so there's one less obstacle to get hose caught on ;D
-
I don't know what you guys are doing wrong,.. I very rarely get the hose snagged on anything!
My method is to always start at the furthest point and work back towards the van,... hot hose is much easier to work with too.

Freedom trolley works well for me on my round. I don't normally have much of a problem with my 20 mtrs of 5mm ID hose. But every now and then I have one of those days and yesterday was one. Not only did it get caught on the most ridiculous things it decided after months of being securely attached to the hozelock adapter, that connects it to the trolley, that it wasn't quite tight enough. So every now and then it would come unattached and soak the back of my leg or shoot straight down my boot before I got chance to turn it off.
I came home feeling like a popular lamppost!

when walking to rear of house i look for obstuctions, with wheelie bins just turn them ,so wheels against wall , the hose will slide round ( on edge of bin better)
i also use a pole trigger, hose attaches direct to it , so the hose is easier to guide , and pole hose does not tangle in it.

what a simple solution! just turn the bins haha, that is so stupid of me, I never thought of that.

Algarde silicon type flexible hose, is light and will stretch the extra 6-18" if its too short. Put it on a reel and you can reel it in faster than anyone/motorised.
Wont suit some as we all have different preferences and requirements, but its so light.

You are using 6mm pole hose on your hose reel?
