I used to use an X-Tel GF for my 4th floor jobs. They are very very bendy, i would not get any X-Tel GF above 18ft. If you can afford to, get a carbon fibre pole. I use my SLX now for all of my 3rd floor and most low 4th floor windows.

I have the same 24ft version you're looking at and agree that it gets a bit bendy at 3 floors and above. For two stories it's fine and you'll have no issues at all but above that you'll have problems.

One option is a 30 ft tucker pole. Get one with 2mm jets (now available) instead of the 4mm. They also have a new clamping system so you don't have to use the tucker tool to tighten clamps.

Not ideal for standard residential but good for bigger jobs. I use mine on some larger houses and flats.

A 31ft would reach most 4th storey work but you really wouldn't want to work with it for all of your work.

I use a X-Tel hybrid for my 3/4 story work and can't fault it. It's light enough to use all day and the sections are short enough to be used at lower levels, ie, if I'm cleaning a block of flats I clean all the windows with the same pole.

I've a gooseneck fitting on mine so it goes over window boxes, sills etc without rubbing away the pole.

30-31ft should do the trick then.  :)
