Well not quite, my pump was very noisy this morning with air making it bang and vibrate, usually i give the inlet hose a wiggle and it settles down. Only today it didn't the flow got less and less even at max it was just a dribble. When i shut the pole hose valve the varistreem wouldn't shut off? Switched to my spare pump and varistream and no different so renewed all my brass hoselock fittings, still the same. Bi-passed my di vessel and still no good.
Eventally tracked it down to the connector on my strainer it has a threaded collar and a small rubber washer inside and must have been sucking air. Ptfe tape and away i went. Must have wasted an hour and a half. ::)

That's the problem with the pole, a very minor problem like a loose wire of dodgy fitting connector can mean no work at all. Trad you get a small problem fix it and continue a minuet later.

funny enough i had a issue with my pump today
my old pump packed in a few weeks ago, so im back to my first pump box, its got a bigger pump ( not a issue )
it just slowed right down, anyway, it turns out that the strainer was blocked full of green sludge ( which has been growing at the bottom of a few of mt 25 L barrels )
i cleaned it out and its fine ;)

I have a bad connection on my shurflo pressure switch >:(. I used one of those red elastic bands, that grow on the pavement, to pull the cable to one side it works ok now ;D ;D.
I stripped my old pump last night, what a job I had getting the brushes back in >:(. I have ordered a new pressure switch and filter today.

You can look at it as an hour lost or an hours training. Next time you'll hit the problem in 10 mins. Knowledge is expensive but we're all becoming experts!
