I got an email from them today:

Hello

Are you interested in providing the service below? Servicestart is an Internet service helping people create requests for services they want to buy, and finding the right service provider to carry out the job. We have a buyer who wants to be contacted by a qualified provider.

Project Info
Project: House cleaning
Location: East Northamptonshire
Project start: 2008-12-08
Buyer type: Private individual

Project Description
Type of property:
  Single family house

Type of service needed:
-Clean surfaces and put things away
  -Vacuum cleaning
  -Bathroom cleaning
  -Folding and Ironing laundry

Frequency of cleaning:
  Once a week

Size of the area to be cleaned (sqm):
  unsure

Cleaning supplies providedby client:
  Yes

The site looks pretty good, but I went to make a fake enquiry for carpet cleaning and soon found a few things that might put people off!

There's way too many options in my opinion, asking the customer to specify what type of cleaning system they want!  What rooms, what sizes etc etc... all unnecessary and likely to bore people so they close the page, in my opinion.

They even list Chem-Dry's carbonating system on its own!  Wonder if any palms have been greased for that? ::)

Anyone use this or heard of it?

managed to get through that time, they do want far to much info, sq ft, carpet type, fibre type etc etc, then at the bottom you have to register
