Title: Flat rate VAT
Post by: William Tyndale on November 26, 2008, 07:59:21 am
Is anyone on the flat rate VAT? If so have the rates changed?

I wonder if David@StIves is on it as it may explain the confusion the other day.
If you are David, please accept my apologies for the negative banter.
If you are not on the flat rate, you prob are still a muppet with figures. ;D ;D ;D ::) ::) ::)

Flat rate is usually used by small shops that sell lots of dfferent things where some goods have VAT and some don't. You local newsagent or independent corner shop is most likely to be flat rate.

The flat rate would also benefit window cleanrers who have to go VAT reg.
Charge full rate pay a flat rate, but dont claw any back on expenses (other than over £2000)
