A bit dear that Mark, I dont think its worth more than £20
-
Ask him if he will give you £99 to take it to the scrap yard.
-
I couldnt believe it when i saw this item. It was part of the Steaming Sam franchise network. I worked for head office for years and became part owner till about 5 years ago.
Van is worthless but TM should fetch £400.00

Richie
Just asking as id never heard of that one mate ???
Looks a real r royce set up :D
-
remember when phone numbers didn't have a 1 after the zero in the area code, i.e 0161 was 061 and liverpool code was 051 instead of 0151, well thats how long its been standing by the looks of it.
all though i could be wrong as ive only just got up.

Hi Clinton,
I can remember when some of the first franchies started. The van would be signwritten & sprayed then go to Prochem in London to have a BRAND NEW PROCHEM PERFORMER CUB XL fitted to the nice shinny new van. They looked really good 16 years ago. I have today been using a 16 year old Prochem Cub XL to clean the carpets in a nightclub to help a mate out as he had been working all night aswell.

some of you lot need to get out more, i know the guy who selling this he had to pack in due to certain reasons ie the loss of movement in a hand, its been stood still for over a year, doesnt surprise me about you richie you talk crap, the lad just wants it off his drive, he isnt bothered he's earned his money off this unit for over 15 years,

Well spoken Mr Turton, anyone reading the write up should have at least got an inkling. The writer was writing the description honestly and with no exageration or bull.
There is a lot of potential value there for someone with a bit of savvy.

very true trust me it could be a cheap way of getting into the easy world of truckmounting
buy the van and set up wip it out the old van into something alittle better on the eye , a tim on blue hameright will tide that t.m. up nice
then sell the rest of the bits off the old van back on ebay or just weigh it in ull get 60 pound srcap for it ...
-
being one of the old steaming sam fanc: it was a good set up .God as it been 16 years
-
I really cant understand some people, what do they expect for the price ?
I,m thinking of bidding so I can get the accesories alone.
I remember a woodbridge coming up for sale a while ago :) every body knocking it , everybody saying must be something wrong with it. How wrong they was .
Yes I bought it, a simple case of a larger couplings and alignment and every thing was spot on and I reckon would outperform many a t/m costing thousands, with instant high heat and capable of running 600ft.
as they say you get what you pay, Not always :)

I think bidding on this for any more than the accesseries would be a waste of money.
the van is a scrapper, the machine is in bits. Unless you want to take on a project its worth about £350 at best
-
I agree with Mike on this one...
-
well its definatly entry level
-
just wondering did any one on here buy it ?
John
-
went for £250, someone got a bargain
-
I'm kicking me self now the hose reel was worth that never mind the gloria sprayer
John
-
but how would you pick up the van it was undrivable, I don't think he would have let you just turn up and take the accessories and leave the van, he wanted rid of it all.
you would have needed to hire a tow truck and then it would have got expensive
it wasn't worth the hassle
-
I got beaten by 25 pence would have got a trailer and collected the lot.
-
I saw a programme a few weeks ago about Scrappies going to auctions and buying up the non runners for a couple of hundred because their scrap value is £500 as price of iron is high.
So in theory you could scrap the van and effectively have the TM for free.
-
Mike look down the board , we were all hoping you was dead
John ;D
-
:D
-
Cheers John ???
-
unfortunatly the price of scrap is now only about 20-30 quid a ton
