Title: Thinking of buying ladders
Post by: ftp on November 25, 2008, 07:05:36 pm
Despite having Ladderless Windowcleaning emblazoned down the side of my van i'm seriously thinking of buying a set of ladders. Let me explain: today i was gutter cleaning and touched a swan neck on a downpipe which simply flew off! Luckily the customer had a set of ladders so i could put it back. I clean gutters with a vac too and sooner or later i'm going to knock an end cap off or find a blocked downpipe. I really think ladders are a must!

There will always be a need for a ladder at some point, won't go out without a set on the van

If the job needs a ladder then I dont do it. Bought my van 4 years ago and never had a ladder or a roofrack on it and never will.

What would you do if you knocked the end-cap off a gutter without a ladder?

even though i am wfp , there are always ladders on my van,

1 set double 15 rung ( only use 1 section for access to flat roofs , where window is set to far back)

2- 8 ft a frames ( great for gate hopping , put 1 each side of gate)

i also have 1 set triple 11 rung , 1 set double 11 rung , hanging in my garage ,
these are no longer used , but i stiil keep them , never know when i might need them. ;)
