Now that everyone is up against it. And all the High Street chains are offering us 25,50% off........isn't it about time al out WFP suppliers started offering the same kinda deals in order to keep the money flowin in "their" direction............. Just a thought.......well, what have i got to lose??? ;D

The reason i say that is I've just had a catelogue come thru the door from Griggs Direct(are they new Varitech?) Anyways,not a single "deal" in it............guess i won't be stocking up with them lol

I got that today as well.
I was shocked with some of the prices. The pole trigger is £42.00, its £15 on e-bay!

I got a estate agent asking me to do clean for their letting residents, so i might be needing a back pack for some jobs.. anyone help me out with a good price, as i dont get these "promo leaflets/packs/catalogues" :-\

Chris, call them on 0800 298 0333 and mention the sureflo/gxtel-17 pole with vikan brush....delivered for £200.........despite what i said earlier, that's a pretty good deal. Free gloves too......wahoo

Inflation isnt our biggest enemy any more....its DEFLATION!!!
You could say the WFP suppliers holding firm on prices is in effect holding up the whole economy.
.....I'm only joking ;D
Using ordering such as 'right on time' should hold up their prices - if it aint selling, then they dont order it!
The WFP suppliers need to wait for the effects of the crunch to be felt on THEIR suppliers (reducing their prices) before those savings are passede onto us. We need to wait for the inventory to increase at our supplier (or their suppliers) before prices fall and they need to shift stock just to get turnover and bank some cash.
Its a Mexican stand-off
Who will blink first....and at what price! :o

Depends what your buying, i know of one supplier who's poles for instance are unique to him and his company. I don't expect to see January sales there. ;)
If they do start discounting then it's a sure sign that they are feeling the pinch.

I think a lot of suppliers are going to find it hard as Manufacturers are now not allowing credit, it's cash upon receipt of goods so a lot will be tightening their purses as cash flow will be tight.

I have a couple accounts, one now insists on card payment, it slows me down buying (which might be a good thing) as i like to pay by cheque.
I am quite disciplined like that, I pay by cheque at the end of the month, i know where i am that way, when you use your card unless the supplier is on the ball you might not get an invoice, then you forget to write it in your books, then you have a bigger tax bill. At least with cheques i can keep up with it all easier.
Another one, hardly ever bills me, i asked for a bill for months, there excuse was they had too much cash, no kidding.

I would do if it meant keeping a customer. Without a doubt. But yeh i'd wanna charge full price again when things got better. :P
