would this vacuum be alright to make a diy version on ebay 150310220083 .

That hoover will be fine, but you need to change the inlet on the vacuum, It needs to go in at an angle and also slightly wider.

i got that for £200 direct from their site! (im sure it included delivery) maybe they have put the price up :P

yup its gone up in price..
if you modify it, you will lose out on the warrenty. but its good for cheapness, sucks water well - as i cleaned the spa out with it, and also soaked leaves thru 15metres of tubing on the driveway, not had a chance to use it in a work capacity yet apart from my own guttering but then i live in a bungalow.. so it worked wonders there :D

Nope, i've got the big one that Gardiners sell (triple 1200w). Which looks extremely like the Omnivac version.

£830 with vat and delivery that included 38mm hose and i think five Superlight base sections.

So all in all around £1300, Cheap as chips,from omnivac this would be around the £3000 mark.

But remember the Omnivac version is superior in some ways. The camera for instance is only for surveying the gutters whereas the omnivac version can record and burn onto a cd and playback the results. They also have different attatchments that can be connected to their pole i.e. a gutter spike. The mechanicals though are very similar and at the end of the day they do the same job. It's up to you where you want to spend your money - their camera for instance is way over the top for domestic work.
If you are going for the big commercial jobs and think you might get them you may want all the extras.

Th omnivac is obviously a far better vac- But for those who cannot afford the price, the diy version is almost as good ;)

Maybe not FAR better but a little better if you ignore the price. I've never used the real version but if the vac is the same and it seems to be, then there can't be a huge difference.
Those that have paid the full whack will tell you that theirs are guranteed. Well if you source your own vac and generator then they will have the same manufacturers guarantees too.

ftp - Omnivac has 50mm hose,how do you find the 38mm hose does it get blocked a lot.

I've not blocked it yet. You can have the larger hose if you want but the S2 sections are smaller than the large hose but bigger than the small hose. My nozzles are smaller than the hose so it should block there - turn off the power and drop the blockage.
