Title: I.B.C. TANK CLEANER.
Post by: geefree on November 21, 2008, 05:04:14 pm
Hi,

just got a 640 litre ibc tank, refurbished and  cleaned out... But it smells a bit chemically, if you know what i mean.

Does anyone know the best solution i can put in...to give it a few rinses before  i test pure water in it.?

Thanks.

Gary

If it`s just the smell i would`nt worry too much i would put about 100L of pure water in it for a day or 2 and see if tds is ok,I`ve got a 640L ibc tank it had PVA glue in it so i jet washed it and it`s fine   ;)

anyone....

another thing that bothers me is the weight... although i am under weight with this tank full... a few months ago i was told on here that the weight has to be evenly distributed over both axles.....

how on earth do you do that??

stretch the tank ;D ;D ;D ???

Use polypipe,If you have any roadworks near you ask them if they have any off- cuts they dont want then it wont cost you a penny. I got mine in the same way free of charge.
As for cleaning it out, mine was cleaned out with meth's and then soapy water then rinse out, It still smells a bit but the tds reading is fine doesnt seem to effect the reading at all.
